Launched in November 2006, the Wii (pronounced as the English pronoun we) is a home video game console released by Nintendo that has revolutionized gaming. As a seventh-generation console, and fifth console made by Nintendo, the Wii is primarily focused to competes with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Nintendo says however that the Wii targets a broader demographic than both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The Nintendo Wii gives people a reason to get together with friends and family and play some of today' hottest video games. One of the features of the Wii console is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and detect movement in three dimensions.
